Mixed Media Art

Mixed media art has been a sort of hobby of mine for about a year now. Although I started in oil paintings art, I quickly discovered that I didn’t have a talent for it. I would much rather work with my hands, getting viscerally involved in my art. Mixed media artwork lets me do that. I get to work with clay, paints, cloth – many different colors and textures. I find it exciting and dynamic. Nonetheless, when one of my friends told me that I should try to sell my artwork, it sort of threw me into a panic. I wasn’t prepared for how I reacted to it.
It made me realize that I really wanted to take my mixed media art to the next level, but that I was afraid.
