Ectopic Pregnancy

In normal conditions fallopian tube acts as the transporter which makes meeting of the egg or ovum of a women with the sperm cells of a man possible. Further the egg gets fertilized in the womb or uterus and gradually develops the embryo. But inĀ  the process is quite different. Here the fertilized egg is not placed inside the uterus but outside of the uterus or the womb. In around 95 percent of the cases of Ectopic pregnancies takes place in the fallopian tube itself. Whereas in the rest of the cases they can occur in the cervix, ovary, and also in the abdominal cavity.
